Mannequin is down to its Final Four, and in just a few weeks (barring any mysterious disappearances on my part) the first winner will be crowned. Mannequin was unexpectedly popular, so Iím going to attempt to host a second cycle while people are still interested.
Ö But this cycle YOUR
models will be competing. As a thank you for giving me so much positive feedback on the first cycle and to assure some contestant variety, Iím holding auditions for this cycle!
. . .
As great as gigantic Bootcamp Rounds are, drawing everyone up in images of consistent quality takes time and it is possible that models who donít inspire me to draw them may make it to further rounds. So, if more than 24 models are submitted, Iíll be doing the audition process a little differently.
I will choose a TOP 24 -
12 guys and 12 girls who interest me the most and that I believe will make up a diverse cast - to draw up in my style from the submissions. The community will then rank the models to bring the group down to the FINAL 14
. From there, normal competition, brief roleplays, and eliminations will commence until Mannequin crowns its second winner!
. . .
Mannequin Cycle 2 is open to models of either gender. You are allowed to submit UP TO 4 MODELS Ė 2 MALES AND 2 FEMALES.
Each model that you audition through a PM MUST
include at least one image of the model and the following:
Personality/Short Bio (optional):
Now that Bitstrips has unfortunately been shut down, I couldnít think of a consistent method of audition. So, you can audition in any of the following ways:
- Your own sketches, no matter the style
- Old Bitstrips
- Elouai Dolls
You can send more than one image of your model (whether it is multiple sketches, different angles, or an image from a past photoshoot or competition). If you have an idea for another method of auditioning, please just PM me to run your idea by me. If you think that the image(s) you send does not show certain details of the model (ex: tattoos, cleft chin, moles, freckles, piercings), you can add some notes to be included or, if needed, a reference picture.
I will not be purposefully giving any preference to people using creation methods that allow them to choose more detailed facial features or have more reference images, since I know not everybody is able to produce images easily. The additional images are just to give me ideas of their features and look from different angles so I can draw them as representative of their original incarnations as possible.
I want to give you freedom when designing the best models that you can, but there are still a few RULES
to keep this cycle within the style of Mannequin.
As wild as you want to make their looks or personalities, all models auditioned must be HUMAN
Ė that means no supernatural creatures and no aliens. If you want your model to think that he or she is a vampire, thatís fine, but they canít actually have magical powers.
All models and their concepts must BELONG TO YOU
. You canít just go online and look up a premade gorgeous Sim and send a picture of him in. You cannot use models or images that do not belong to you unless they are a) reference images of a tattoo or feature that you couldnít include in your original image or b) images of your model that were done for competitions but were made by other editors.
Your models can have been in previous competitions, I would prefer that they were NOT WINNERS OR A MEMBER OF THE TOP THREE.
I wonít be giving preference to models who are new faces, but I would just prefer that the models auditioned arenít faces that everyone is already familiar with. For me that takes away some of the interest.
You can only send in one set of auditions Ė that means all four (or less) models must be sent from a SINGLE
RTVGames account. Please donít use a duplicate account and pretend itís your cousin auditioning and they just happen to be using some of your old Bits.
. . .
Iím setting a tentative deadline of APRIL 21
for auditions to close. This is assuming that I can get my butt in gear and finish Mannequin Cycle 1 by then. Any changes will be posted in this thread.
Thank you so much for any interest in auditioning!
