Jordan Probst: Welcome everyone officially to the 20th season of Survivor X.
This season we have brought back some of our greatest players in a battle like never before.
10 of you are Heroes
- players who exemplify honor and integrity in a game of deception.
10 of you are Villains
- players who have shown great skill in manipulation & duplicity.
This season, we will find out who has what it takes to beat some of the best players of all time.
Let's find out who will be returning for their revenge or redemption, shall we?
This castaway's first appearance in the X Series dates back all the way to it's beginning. Despite being seen as a loyal presence, she was eventually bested by an ally in the final TC where she left as the game's first ever runner-up. However, she came back for vengeance in SX7, and as part of the Favorites tribe managed to secure a loyal alliance that once again got her to a second place finish. Will she have all the right moves to take home the gold this season?
In our game's third season, this castaway was an underdog throughout the entire process. After being trapped on the worst tribe in the game, he secured a power alliance that dominated it's way to the end. However, he was overshadowed by one of SX's most brilliant strategists and had to settle for second place- but it earned him a spot on All Stars that took him all the way to 8th. As one of SX's true OGs, can he prove that nothing outdoes the originals?
During SX16: Panem, this castaway was in a power position early but found himself on the wrong side of the numbers immediately after the merge. Despite being seen as one of the strongest players in the game, he stuck to his guns and worked hard to get himself back into the game- eventually revealing true alligences within the majority alliance. After the game flipped on it's head, he formed loyal bonds that allowed him to make it all the way to the end where he eventually went on to win. Can lightning strike twice?
During SXX: Gabonica, one of the most heated tribe vs tribe battles took place where the numbers between the Fang Women and Kota Men were constantly evening up. This castaway took the reigns as the leader of the Fang Women, securing challenge wins and idols to ensure her alliance made it all the way to the end where she ultimately was crowned the game's first African-American winner. However, since the show she's officially gone through with her Caucasianoplasty and is ready to reveal her new winning looks. Please welcome back...
During SX15: Philippines, this castaway had forged a strong core alliance with her fellow Brains as the were determined to take out the Brawn majority. However, as this was in the early days of the new partnership with RTVG, she was seen as a threat by her fellow FGC alliancemates and was blindsided in a huge game-changing move. This season, she's back for her Second Chance and ready to prove her true strengths.
During SX16: Panem, this castaway managed to fly under the radar long into the merge until he was forced to come out as a physical threat. After an unfortunate challenge loss allowed the others to boot him in 4th Place, he came back for another chance the next season in Caramoan. However, due to production difficulties he was never truly able to get his game off the ground and was bested by the Fan alliance that took him out before the finale. This season, his goal is to make it all the way to the end.
During SX12: Redemption World, this castaway was seen as one of the pivotal leaders of the dominating Zapatera tribe and founding members of the cross-tribal alliance #TheDreamTeam. However, when one of his allies flipped the game, he saw his game come crashing down where he was forced to pick up the pieces. In one of the greatest comebacks, he managed to turn the tables on his foes and dominated his way to a much deserved win. This season, returning for a second title, it's...
In her first showing during SX7: Samoanesia, this castaway began the game as a silent but strong member of the Fans tribe. However, after a swap saw her allies began being picked off one by one, she managed to form a key alliance with power players within the Favorites tribe that carried her all the way to the end where she was able to gain the respect of the anti-Favorites jury that rewarded her the first clean game victory (getting to the end without ever receiving a vote to go home). Can she prove her worth in an elite cast yet again?
Our next castaway was the voice of reason during her stay in SX9: Tocantina, as she was determined to play the game true to her allies despite being in the minority come the merge. However, she refused to give up and managed to survive two massive votes with a target aimed straight at her back. Eventually she was bested and ended the game in 6th place. For this season she's ready to show her resilience.
The final member of the Heroes tribe comes from SX18: San Juan Del Sur. As a member of the dominating White Collar alliance, this castaway was able to form a strong bond day one that was able to survive all the way til the final five Tribal Council where his ally was so torn with her loyalties that she quit the game. With nowhere else to turn, he stuck loyal to his White Collar alliance but did not make any "winning" moves to garner any votes from the jury. This season, he's ready to show what he's really made of.
The first member of the Villains Tribe has had a long history with the X Series that began in the Fijook Isles. After finishing in 4th place, he was asked to return for a second chance during SX15: Philippines where he really made an infamous name for himself. Not afraid to form and break bonds at a whim, he lead the Brain tribe to a comeback after being down at the merge by exploiting a key relationship within the Brawn tribe. However, the jury ultimately was not as impressed with his gameplay and rewarded him second place instead. This season, he is ready to prove his third time is the charm.
In SX18: San Juan Del Sur, this castaway was the epitome of a coattail rider. Doing anything she could to put the least amount of effort into the game while still remaining competitive, she formed key relationships with power players that kept her through the game. She did such a great job that not only did one player give away their immunity necklace to her but also laid down their torch to ensure she was not vote out. However, she was eventually seen as a jury threat and was taken out right before the final TC. What will her strategy be this time around?
Our next castaway was one of the most controversial during her stay in SX13: Zombie Island. As part of the infamously dysfunctional Infected Tribe, she was not afraid to speak her mind or change up the game on a moments notice. Going into the merge in the minority it looked as if her game was doomed until she formed key alliances within the Commonwealth that took out their whole alliance to get her to the end, where the jury overwhelmingly voted for her to win the game. Will she become the first two-time winner in SX history?
In SXX: Gabonica, this castaway started out the game as the black sheep who managed to annoy and grate his way to a 4th place finish. However, last season in Cambodia, he came back to prove that he had learned from his mistakes and was ready to truly play the game. And that he was, establishing himself in a power position early by making huge moves. However, his game fell apart in the middle when his alliance was picked off, but he managed to manipulate his way into others thinking he didn't have a chance- when in the end the jury voted him the winner of SX19. Can he be the first to win back-to-back seasons?
In SX13, this castaway was seen as a goat after being overshadowed by some of the stronger players in the game. However, in SX14, he came back with the notion of making a name for himself- making big moves including forcing a Purple Rock Draw. Despite having all the power for the majority of the game, the jury did not respect his strategy and he ultimately lost in the final Tribal Council for the second consecutive season in a row. As the only player to lose in back to back final TCs, he's ready for a new title- Sole Survivor.
A member of several games including the winner of SX14, this next castaway is one of the true originals of the series but has chosen to come back as one of the most infamous castaways in SX8. Not afraid to make moves when necessary, this castaway was part of the post-merge blindside fest that happened practically every week. However, it was only a matter of time before her resume threatened others and she was taken out. But this season, she's back for more chaos.
Despite being known as the worst season in X History, this next castaway made herself known. Coming into the game as a Fan, she formed a strong unbreakable trio that managed to dismantle a dysfunctional Favorite alliance. However, she earned her spot as a Villain when she made the game move to get rid of the biggest competition within her alliance right at the end- a decision that ultimately won her the game. Don't let her cute face fool you, it's...
In SX11: South Pacifaragua, this castaway came in for his first and only appearance in the X Series as part of the New School group. After a twist in the game allowed him to plant seeds that resulted in the blindside of the biggest villain in the game, he decided to take over the role for himself- puppet mastering his alliance to the final seven in true Jafar-style where he got rid of them one by one until only those useful to him where in the end. However, he was seen as the bad cop and his best ally was instead rewarded the victory. This season, he is back for a title that is rightfully his.
From SX13: Zombie Island, this castaway was one of the most strategic forces on the dominating Commonwealth tribe. However, sensing the threats within his alliance, he made several moves against them- riding the game of his threats one by one until only his allies remained. Despite playing a strong game, the jury did not respect his strategy and he finished the game in second place. This season, he is back once more for his redemption and to prove he's learned from his mistakes.
Last but certainly not least, our final Villain comes from SX8: Fijook Isles where she played a perfect game from start to finish. Using the Exile Twist to her advantage, she secured strong alliances with members of the opposing tribe which allowed her to make the huge, game changing shift at the merge that turned the game in her favor. Despite being seen as a threat, no one was ever able to mount an attack to take her out and her strong strategy secured her the title of the 8th Sole Survivor. Hoping to make the magic happen one more time, let's welcome back to the game...
